LEAN OPERATION
Lean operation is a business performance improvement tool that focuses on enhancing quality, cost, delivery, and people.
It helps identify waste and makes continuous improvement possible by identifying and eliminating non-value-adding activities in design, production, supply chain, services and management.
Striving to improve competitiveness by providing customers faster and better products or services, which will accomplish more than worrying about the next global crisis, is the basic aim behind lean operation. The only game we need to be adept at today is the one that removes waste so the customer sees more value and we got efficiency.
In the world of lean practices, companies try to produce only what has been demanded by the customer, and only when the product is required. To optimize benefits of lean throughout the supply chain, it is essential to build a partnership with your suppliers. This partnership must work on the basic principle that you pull only what you consume, and nothing more.
Your suppliers restore what you have consumed. In this way, inventories are maintained at their smallest for both dealer and customer.
Achieving this level of trust with your supplier will require frequent communication and extensive sharing of information. Successful partnerships result from inviting each other to strategic planning sessions, attending each other's events and participating in other joint activities.
One good approach is to weave principles, objectives, tools, and methodology behind lean operation into the strategic and business plans of your organization, in order to make lean practices more suitable for your company.

Disruptive Era
Apa itu disruptive era? Disruptive era adalah masa dimana penuh gangguan dengan banyaknya perubahan. Bisnis penerbitan terganggu dengan adanya desktop publishing. Industri kamera film terganggu dengan adanya inovasi kamera digital. Bisnis tradisional terganggu dengan pemanfaatan kemudahan online.
Ada yang “terganggu” kemudian musnah. Ada pula yang terganggu namun ia berbenah dan pada akhirnya ia tetap eksis. Di dalam era yang disruptif ini, sebagai manusia kita pun perlu berbenah agar tidak “musnah” atau kalah dalam persaingan yang berakibat kepada kehidupan yang semakin susah.
Menurut saya, ada tiga hal yang perlu kita lakukan. Pertama, jadilah solutif. Apa artinya? Setiap ada permasalahan yang ada di pekerjaan atau bisnis yang kita tekuni jadilah salah seorang yang ikut memberikan solusi atas pemasalahan yang dihadapi. Jangan jadi “tukang kompor” yang memanas-manasi keadaan sehingga permasalahan justru menjadi ruwet hingga sulit dituntaskan. Manusia yang solutif dicari dan sangat dibutuhkan di era distruptif ini.
Kedua, bersinergi. Sehebat dan secerdas apapun Anda bila egois dan enggan bersinergi maka akan “mati” di era ini. Bangunlah kerjasama, saling mendukung, saling menguatkan dengan banyak pihak. Win-win solution tidak boleh hanya menjadi jargon tetapi perlu mendarah daging dan mengkristal dalam kehidupan Anda.
Ketiga, tingkatkan spiritualitas. Era yang penuh gangguan ini membuat kita mudah stress, galau, dan gelisah. Segera tingkatkan kedekatan Anda dengan Sang Maha. Banyak berdoa, mendekat dan mengingat-Nya. Dia lah yang menciptakan kita maka Dia lah yang tahu berbagai solusi dari semua permasalahan yang kita hadapai. Dia lah penguasa pikiran dan hati kita maka meminta bantuan kepada-Nya adalah kebiasaan harian yang perlu kita lakukan.
Menghadapi era disruptif, ingatlah selalu tiga S: Solutif, sinergi, spiritual. Melupakan tiga S ini membuat Anda dilupakan banyak orang. Mau?
